Saving energy and ressources

We us a completely software controlled IT-system which completely switches off  devices that are not in use respectively  sets them on energy saving mode.
Even monitors are switched off after a short idle time.

If we procure IT-equipment we carefully examine its power consumtion. We are exclusively deploying energy saving devices (Green IT).

In our company we practice a power factor correction system.
The power consumption of devices exeeding the effective power is compensated.
That leads to a lower network load and economical use of energy.

Defective light sources are replaced with energy saving lamps or LED technologie.

Rainwater as coolant
We collect the rainwater of our roof areas in 1000 litre tanks for the use as coolant.
– Wherever our manufacturing facilities allow it.

In our manufacturing we use compressed air produced by a compressor.
The waste heat of that process  is fed into the heating circuit by a heat exchanger. This means an environmentally friendly heating of our premises.

Energy generation

Our subsidary EMSB OHG operates a water plant. It produces twice the amount of electricity than the one we need for our production.
The produced energy is fed in to the network of the local net operator.

Packaging

Packaging materials and fillings we get with our purchases are collected and re-used for shipment.
The reels needed for tape material are produced by ourselves. For this purpose we use environmentally friendly cardboards which can easily be disposed by the customer.

Production

Our toolings for punching are designed for minimum chad. Any low amount of chads that still accrues, will be, correctly sorted,  collected and recycled.

Any cleaning activities, maintenance- or basic cleanings,  in conjunction with oily substances are solely done in our own washing facility . There we have an oil separator in use. This measure reduces the burden of the waste water and protects the environment.
